Smart Fellowship: Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation Partnered with Workverse and Nimaya Foundation
Faridabad, January 27: In a significant step towards empowering young women from socio-economically restrictive backgrounds, Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, in collaboration with Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Workverse, founded by Samyak Chakraborty, and supported by program advisor Navya Naveli Nanda, co-founder of Nimaya Foundation.
This collaboration introduced Smart Fellowship, a transformative career accelerator program designed to provide 21st-century skills to 60 underprivileged students. Sponsored by Escorts Kubota Limited, the program bridged the gap between potential and opportunity by nurturing critical thinking, problem-solving, entrepreneurial mindset, and emotional intelligence among participants.
The MoU was signed by Dr. NC Wadhwa, Vice Chairman, Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation, and Samyak Chakraborty, Founder, Workverse, in the presence of Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, MREI; Navya Naveli Nanda, Founder, Nimaya Foundation; and senior representatives from the associated organizations.

- Masterclasses led by CEOs, founders, and industry experts.
- Simulated Workplace Environment to develop practical proficiency in modern skills.
Each participant received a certification and a “Workplace Intelligence Profile” to assess their performance across ten modules, complemented by talk series to keep students motivated and engaged throughout the journey.
Impactful Initiatives in Collaboration
Dr. O.P. Bhalla Foundation and Balaji College of Education, Ballabgarh, pledged their support to ensure student participation, with a commitment to maintaining at least 85% attendance for course completion.
Smart Fellowship surpassed conventional frameworks by connecting students with mentorship from industry leaders. This initiative reflected the commitment to upskilling communities and fostering equal opportunities.
This collaboration aligned with the vision of the founder, Late Dr. O.P. Bhalla Ji, to empower women through education, skill development, and gender equality. Thousands of girls benefited annually from such initiatives, unlocking personal and professional growth avenues.
There was a need to redefine upskilling for women to address automation-led professional challenges. Enabling women to lead India’s economic growth created a positive ripple effect on families, communities, and the nation.
