Cleanliness & Plantation Drive on World Nature Conservation Day

On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, the Dr. O. P. Bhalla Foundation, under the guidance of Dr. N. C. Wadhwa, organised a Cleanliness Drive followed by a Plantation Drive at Neelkanth Society, Sector 21C, Faridabad.

The initiative focused on transforming neglected public spaces that had become vulnerable to waste dumping into clean and green community spaces. The event was graced by Smt. Parveen Batra (Joshi), Hon’ble Mayor of Faridabad, who joined Dr. N. C. Wadhwa, residents, volunteers and RWA members in planting native and air-purifying saplings.

The Mayor appreciated the Foundation’s efforts towards environmental conservation and highlighted the importance of responsible civic behaviour. Dr. N. C. Wadhwa reiterated the vision of Late Dr. O. P. Bhalla Ji, emphasising that every tree planted is a step towards a cleaner and greener future.

The drive concluded with residents pledging to protect the saplings and maintain the cleanliness of their surroundings—reinforcing the message that collective action can create lasting environmental change.
