Over 150 Students visited Manav Rachna Campus under Skill Development Program
National Skill Qualifications Framework- Haryana under Skill Development Program mandates synergy between Higher Education Institutes and Senior Secondary Schools.
Under the same initiative, Faculty of Education, Manav Rachna University hosted a visit of over 150 students and teachers from Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Sec-22, Faridabad and Village Mirzapur to the university recently. Dr Kiran Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Education extended a warm welcome to the group on the behalf of Manav Rachna Family.
Students and teachers were divided into four groups accompanied by the faculty members. Groups visited Manav Rachna Dental College (OPD and Pedodontics section) where they were informed about Oral Hygiene.
The students also visited Manav Rachna Sports Science Centre and were amazed to see the facilities provided to produce skilled and professional athletes. Students were also amazed after their visit to Sports Arena and Shooting Range and gave a try to the equipment.
This was followed by a visit to Dr O.P. Bhalla Central Library where they explored various books and digital library.
Towards the end, students interacted with Dr Babita Parashar, Head of Department, Faculty of Education who further reiterated the role of Skill Development in employability. She also took the opportunity to introduce the group to the various courses offered at the campus during a virtual campus tour.
