Samanvay Mandir, is a familiar landmark in Faridabad’s cityscape. On the occasion of 10 years of celebrations of Samanvay Mandir here today, there was much joy and jubilation. The auspicious day was presided over by Hon’ble Governor of Haryana, Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki as the Chief Guest; Padmavibhushan Swami Satyamitranand Giriji Maharaj as Mahamandeleshwar;  Shri Avinash Rai Khanna, National Vice President, BJP,  as Special Guest; Smt Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, Dr O.P. Bhalla Foundation and Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, among others. The celebrations which began with the singing of bhajans and kirtans infused the occasion with a spiritual touch. There was much piety and devotion in evidence as the large congregation of senior dignitaries and devotees of the Mandir gathered together to listen to the soul-stirring speech of Swami Satyamitranand Giriji Maharaj. His Holiness, it may be recalled, was felicitated in April 2015 at the Samman Samaroh in the Samanvay Samiti Mandir, Faridabad. The occasion also marked Dr O.P. Bhalla’s Gate inauguration ceremony on the same day.

Speaking on the Samanvay Mandir’s 10th year of celebration, His Holiness Swami Satyamitranand Giriji Maharaj, in his ‘pravachan’ said, “We have gathered together after 10 years for the Mandir’s 10 year Mahotsav and darshan but devotees should explore their own inner selves and should take pride in their own language, culture and heritage. Life is all about giving and reawakening the divine spirit.”

Inaugurating the 10 years of celebrations, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, said, “I owe whatever good in me to Swamiji. He has greatly inspired me with his words and speech. The major attraction of Faridabad lies not in its buildings but in Samanvay Mandir. We should take pride in Indian culture, heritage and its code of conduct. We are the trustee of our earnings but never the sole inheritors.”

As a patron of the Samanvay Mandir, Smt Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), said, “The 10th anniversary celebrations of Samanvay Mandir, an abode of peace and sanctity for the citizens of Faridabad, is undoubtedly a memorable day in the history of Faridabad. Caught in the frenetic activity of day to day life, people have been visiting the Samanvay Mandir for strength and spiritual sustenance. Personally, I feel blessed every time I come to pray at this place of worship. In course of the years, Samanvay Mandir has grown from strength to strength as large numbers of devotees come to seek solace and reinforce their faith in God.”

The 10th Year of celebrations at the Mandir was managed by Managing Trustee Shri K.C. Banga, under the able guidance of Smt Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, and Shri H.K. Batra, Managing Director, L.R. Foods Private Limited. The Programme had the unstinting support of Dr Prashant Bhalla, President, (MREI) and Dr Amit Bhalla, Vice President, MREI. The celebrations were co-ordinated by Samanvay Mandir Trustees Shri Bhupinder Kaushik and Shri Mahesh Banga.

It is important to note that Samanvay Mandir in course of its 10 year journey has been engaged in several philanthropic initiatives, be it the giving in marriage of needy girls, hosting of blood donation camps, spreading awareness about eye donation post one’s death, distribution of food and blankets among the underprivileged and celebrating social and religious functions within the Mandir premises. The Samanvay Mandir has thus been a beacon of hope as much for religious reasons as it is for social upliftment.
