Manav Rachna Educational Institutions has been carrying forward the philanthropic mission and zeal of Founder Visionary Dr O.P. Bhalla under the aegis of the Dr O.P. Bhalla Foundation. In keeping with Dr O.P. Bhalla’s dream of serving the community by organizing free health camps across various communities in Faridabad, Dr O.P. Bhalla Foundation is organizing a series of 12 Health Camps from 4th March-25 May, 2017. The Health camps are part of the ‘Health for All’ mission of the Foundation.
Today, the health camp was organized at Ferozepur Kalan village. The free services provided at the camp included Consultation and treatment planning in the field of dentistry, Ultrasonic scaling, teeth extraction and fillings, physiotherapy and ergonomics consultation and treatment, nutrition counseling and advice. The dedicated professionals who attended the camp included Dr Nisha, Dr Jigyasa, Dr Sajna, Dr Deepti, Dr Bharkha with graduate and post graduate physiotherapy and Nutrition & Dietetics students.
There were ample cases of decayed teeth and many of the villagers lacked awareness about oral hygiene for which counseling was provided along with free pain killers and antibiotics. While 72 patients came for dental checkup and treatment, as many as 60 patients for Physiotherapy and Nutrition and Dietetics came to the camp for treatment. Regular exercise, ergonomic advices and life style modifications were emphasized upon to halt and alter the deterioration level of the patients. Nutrition counseling was conducted through the medium of story-telling and their available resources of food items.
Also, the patients were informed that free bus service would be available for patients twice a week for treatment at subsidized rates at Manav Rachna Dental College.
