MRIS 46, Gurgaon came out and joined the Raahgiri Movement on January 18 in support of the Swachh Bharat movement initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister.

10915244_440501076106275_4660592353844312439_nStaff and students of the school turned out in large numbers to be a part of the Cleanliness Drive under the aegis of Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation. The drive began with students being educated about the need and methods of segregation by eminent environmentalist Ms. Ruchika. Also, present on the occasion were Mr. Vikas Gupta, Municipal Commissioner, Gurgaon and Mr. Sanjeev K Ahuja, Asst. Editor, Hindustan Times along with other senior dignitaries.

They thereafter pledged to implement what they had learnt. In her address, Principal Ms. Dhriti Malhotra shared the steps taken by MRIS 46 in its endeavour to be a green school and spread the message of cleanliness.

Students of the school also performed a street play urging all to do their bit to clean their neighborhood. Staff and students of the school also sweeped the Vyapaar Kendra market and its periphery. Their enthusiasm was appreciated by all and had passersby joining in their support.
