“We can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone”
In the true spirit of this quote by Ronald Reagan, yet another trip to Govt. Girl’s High School, adopted under the aegis of Dr. O. P. Bhalla Foundation, at Mohna village, culminated successfully, when a group of students accompanied by teachers and the school counselor visited them.
It was indeed a unique opportunity of the MRIS Sector 14, Faridabad students to mingle and interact with the simple yet enthusiastic students. This first teaching experience was thoroughly enjoyed by these young students. They imparted lessons in English Grammar to classes VI and VII by using the Role play method, very effectively.
Class VII was introduced to ‘Voice’, a grammar topic and Class X being the board class was taught complex topics like ‘Modals’ and ‘Reported Speech’. They were also given vital tips on improving their study skills which would help in scoring good marks.
The school Counsellor held very effective and much needed session on’ Safe and unsafe touch’ with VIII and IX class students. She also briefed them on ‘Personal hygiene’. She emphasized on being open and truthful with parents. The session concluded with the message that ‘Safety is a right and it should be taken seriously’.
