With the convergence of technologies, it has become imperative to take a comprehensive look at all possible information and communication technologies for improving school education in the country. As per the norm of HRD Ministry for Government School Students, several training sessions have to be conducted for the students to give them optimum knowledge about IT Cyber Security. Manav Rachna has been selected to spread awareness about cyber security among the students of Government Schools in Haryana so that they can make the judicious use of the internet.

Keeping in view the same, Manav Rachna Educational Institutions recently conducted a training session on ‘IT Cyber Security’ for the students of Govt. Senior Secondary Boys School, Tikona Park, Faridabad under the aegis of Manav Rachna Academic Staff College (MRASC).

The session commenced with the motivational words of Dr. V. K. Mahna, ED, Quality Assurance and Enhancement who motivated the students to study well so that they can get access to the doors of opportunities. Recounting his experiences with the technology, he informed students how technology is playing a major role in developing the nation as well as personalities.

Around 50 students attended the session conducted by Mr. Sabyasachi Sen, General Manager, IT. The major topics that were discussed during the training include Encryption, Decryption, Security Key, Secure Socket Layer, Certificate Errors, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Firewall Authentication.

Students participated in the session by asking the questions from Mr. Sen and were very keen to learn new things about cyber security. It was followed by a visit to IT labs and IT Rack where they can explore how Firewall and Jack Panel work.

The first visit of Govt. students to the campus was a grand success. Manav Rachna aims to teach more students about the Cyber Security so that they have enough knowledge in order to save themselves from cyber crimes.
