The Mega Blood Donation Camp was organized in association with the Lions Club of Faridabad, Rotary NCR Golfers, Rotary Faridabad East and the Santon Ka Gurudwara. Following strict social distancing norms, students and staff members of Manav Rachna donated 650 units of blood over staggered slots. Encouraging staff members to participate wholeheartedly, Smt. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI said: “At this time of crisis, when social distancing is the new normal, we need to remind ourselves of the importance of solidarity and generosity. A small gesture like donating blood can make a big difference to the lives of people. Blood donation is even more important during the Coronavirus pandemic. I am glad to see the staff members and students registering themselves for the noble cause. This definitely sets a precedent for others to follow”.
The annual bone marrow donor registry drive was also organized in association with Jeevandayini Social Foundation, in technical collaboration with Gene Bandhu Blood Stem Cell Donor Registry. 60 donors registered for the Bone Marrow/Stem Cell donor registry drive.

 

 

Dr. O P Bhalla Foundation and employees of MREI collectively donated 25,000 kgs of grains (dals & rice) to mark 25 years of Manav Rachna’s existence under the Ek Mutthi Daan campaign (No One Sleeps Hungry) to nine NGOs working for the betterment of the underprivileged. The donation was handed over by Dr. N C Wadhwa, DG, MREI in the presence of Sh. Krishan Pal Gurjar; Sh. Narender Gupta, MLA, Faridabad; Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President, MREI; Dr. Amit Bhalla, VP, MREI; Sh. Navdeep Chawla, Sh. H K Batra, and other senior dignitaries.
