UntitledThe HEALTH CAMP was organized by Faculty of Applied Sciences at Government Senior Secondary School, Mewala Maharajpur. The globally esteemed Manav Rachna International University has been a pioneer in the field of health promotion of Rural Population. The Department of Physiotherapy under the Faculty of Applied Science has taken conscientious efforts in this direction in the form of numerous camps, workshops, seminars and conferences. Such camps serve excellently to overcome the challenges for the betterment of the medical fraternity. As an active participant in community health care service, Faculty of Applied Sciences, physiotherapist and nutritionist of Manav Rachna International University are leading ahead with the vision under the aegis of Dr.OP Bhalla foundation & the able guidance of our chief patron, Mrs. Satya Bhalla. The health camp was led by Dr. Varsha Chorsiya from Department of Physiotherapy including 4 student from Masters of Physiotherapy. The Nutrition counselling was given as per the Body composition profile and special requirements of the patients. Dr. Priya Mishra served the health camp from Nutrition and Dietetics department. The dental department provided services such as tooth extraction, root canal and oral cancer screening under the guidance of Dr. Shahil with team of 6 students and 1 technical staff. The camp was organized with the kind co-operation of Smt. Neeraj Singh Chauhan, Principal, Shri Sushil Kanwa, N.S.S (P.O), Shri Prem Diwan (Community developer) and Shri Vijay, President- Pratibandh Society

Faculty of Applied Science has been a regular participant to such health awareness and education event. Dr. G.L.Khanna (Dean, FAS) has always motivated the students & staff of FAS to be an active participant to such events which serve as a real life experiences to both students & staff. The HoD of Physiotherapy Dr. Pooja Anand have always been instrumental in advising & motivating the whole team & encouraging to take such endeavors on regular basis.  A total of 130 participants were assessed, screened for movement and flexibility and advised for exercise as per the need. Most of the young population lack in the fitness components.Regular exercise, ergonomic advices and value of fitness and nutrition were emphasized for overall good development. The subject who need further and regular physiotherapy were asked to visit Physiotherapy OPD, B block, Ground Floor, MRIU campus.
