On 12th Sep 2014, the students of MRCED (M.Ed.) along with faculty visited the NGO “Janak Sewa Samiti” Sec-19, Faridabad, which is running an old age home. The NGO established in 1975 has in total 50 senior citizens from different states of the country. The residents have to pay Rs 3000 per month, but at this bare minimum amount this NGO is trying to give them maximum comfort.NGO is lead by President Mr. Arun Mehra.

mrcedThe students of M.Ed. reached there at the time for their morning prayers and joined them in prayer session in the dining hall. The interaction started with introduction of students followed by Bhajans and songs. The residents of old age home also joined in this session and applauded the efforts of students. Riddles were also asked by students and answered by NGO residents enthusiastically. They were also boosted to ask riddles which were answered by students. To lighten the mood students performed dance on bollywood numbers. Everyone enjoyed at their best. The whole environment became emotional when a song on ‘Maa’ was sung by the students.

Sweets, fruits and Bed sheets were distributed by MRCEd meant especially for them. This treat was enjoyed by all Sr. citizens.

The Manger informed the principal about their requirements wiz: – Things to maintain personal hygiene (bathing and washing Soap, Towel, Vaseline, oil, Detergent etc), Kitchen Goods: – Spices, vegetable Oil, Flour, Rice etc.
